One of the most exciting aspects of the Christian life is being part of a church family. The Bible tells us that we need to surround ourselves with other believers who will encourage us and remind us that by God's grace through faith in Jesus we receive real forgiveness, peace and hope.
There are two important steps to becoming part of the CrossRoads Church family. Each month we offer a Welcome to CrossRoads class on Sunday evening. In this class our pastor describes what it means to trust in Jesus and to be part of a local church family. At the end of this class, everyone who attends has the opportunity to sign a covenant expressing agreement with CrossRoads beliefs and strategies as well as a desire to become part of the CrossRoads family. Our pastor will never pressure anyone to make this decision, but everyone who attends will receive a copy of our church covenant. Attendees are invited to make a decision about their commitment to CrossRoads when they are ready. Anyone is welcome to attend CrossRoads for as long as they like without making this commitment, but we believe that being part of a committed church family is one of the best parts of the Christian life.
While signing a CrossRoads Church covenant expresses our commitment to our church family, we express our commitment to Jesus by the ancient Christian tradition of baptism. Baptism is a ceremony where men, women and children who have made a conscious decision to trust in Jesus are dunked under water as a statement of their faith.
